The Commission:
Paul Sargeson & Chris Sykes are undertaking a composition and live performance project inspired by their walking habit, developed during lockdown. Working with musical collaborators who will choose walking routes significant to themselves, the composition process will be their response both to the landscape, atmosphere and to their exchange of ideas and experiences while walking. The composition and the process will be shared at the Hull Jazz Festival in November 2021.
