Live Music is Back!

After the extraordinary events since our last live show in November 2019, we’ve all missed the buzz and thrill of extraordinary music played by some of the world’s best artists.

We’re delighted to announce that we’re back and we hope you’ll join us in November to celebrate. We can’t wait to see you again!

We’ve got some exciting new additions to the line-up, including a brand-new piece by Supertramp saxophonist John Helliwell, who’ll be performing Ever Open Door with the Singh String Quartet and Hammond maestro John Ellis. Our special guest Vimala Rowe will perform with both Alina Bzhezhinska and Tony Kofi and other highlights include the wonderful music of Ella Fitzgerald with Kate Peters and her band plus the return of festival favourites Snake Davis and Gareth Moulton.

We’ve had to make some changes to our previously announced programme due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Unfortunately our shows with David McAlmont, Binker Golding and Orphy Robinson will no longer take place. All ticket holders will receive a full refund from Hull Truck Theatre. Automatic refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days, you don’t need to contact the Box Office at this time. If your original payment method was cash or theatre tokens a member of the team will be in touch.

Nothing’s more important to us than the health and safety of our community of audiences, artists and staff. We’ve worked with our friends at Hull Truck Theatre to introduce new safety measures throughout the building to ensure you’ll have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience. All shows will be socially distanced and limited to around 100 people and you can sit together in your social bubbles. In an exciting first for Hull Jazz Festival, we’ll also be working with an experienced event livestreaming team to broadcast the festival for an online audience. The live-mixed, full-HD, multi-camera stream will bring you closer to the musicians, and right into the heart of the performance. So set up your big screen and turn up the stereo!
