Hull Jazz Festival web and social media co-ordinator
J-Night, the company behind Hull’s Jazz Festival, is looking for an enthusiastic person with a great eye for detail to maintain and update the Hull Jazz Festival website and social media channels.
This will be a flexible, 8-month contract-based appointment that will run from April to November 2022 and is based on a total of 20 days at £125 per day. Total £2,500. Final schedule to be agreed at point of contract.
DUTIES:
Maintenance and regular update of www.hulljazzfestival.co.uk.
Monthly newsletters using Mailchimp.
Regular updates of socials: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
Facebook advertising for events.
Data analysis and quarterly report for J-Night board.
Contribution to audience development plan to increase digital engagement with Hull Jazz Festival.
Regular planning session with Hull Jazz Festival director.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The ideal candidate will be able to show that they have professional experience of website management, as well as digital communication skills, experience of using social media to promote businesses or events and a good copywriting style.
Interest in independent music, jazz, arts and the City of Hull would be a definite advantage.
Applicants will be expected to display evidence of accuracy, responsibility, communications skills and be positive and outgoing – able to act on their own initiative, but in line with Hull Jazz Festival values and house style.
The contract will be line managed by the Director of Hull Jazz Festival, David Porter, on behalf of the board.
